The history and passion of the American West at COWBOYS GUEST RANCH is uniting with the experience of EQUITECH INTERNATIONAL to organize the first of its kind annual international barrel race for barrel racers under 18

The International Youth Barrel Racing Championship is 5 days dedicated to Barrel Racing. The first two days of the event is a special clinic with champion rider and trainer ADD WADDELL, followed by three days of official competition.

There will also be an optional after race video review with Add Waddell for analytical and technical corrections.
The resume of Add Waddell is impressive and he is highly respected in the USA as a trainer and competitor. He is a three time NBHA Colonial 1D National Champion, he was won several NBHA Super Shows including Drysdales and Heartland Nationals. He is also the NAS Horse World Champion and has won numerous futurities and derbies. But his biggest accomplishments didn't come as a rider, but as a trainer. He is the trainer of the NBHA 1D World Champion horse Risky Chris and also the NFR WPRA World Champion horse ridden by Kappy Allen. The time of this Championship race was set so that it would allow all kids to finish school and be free to attend.

The event starts on Wednesday the 17th of June and the final is Sunday the 21st.

After the finals there will also be a regional open 4D NBHA Lombardia that everyone is invited to attend.
The entry fee for the INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP is €300 and includes three go's. The Champion will be determined by taking the two best times of the three goes and adding them together. The clinic with ADD WADDELL is free to anyone that is entered in the race, but is not mandatory. The race will pay in every go and the average, plus prizes.
The cost of the stall is just € 50,00 for the entire event.

We have seen expressed interest in kids from Germany, Switzerland, France, Czechoslovakia and Canada and feel that this will be the largest event of its kind.

The Cowboys Guest Ranch is a fantastic place that includes an amusement park called Cowboyland and will be open to the children during the free time. It is a great place for kids of all ages and we promise no one will be bored! There is also scheduled games and fun in the saloon for the kids to participate in during the evening.

Spectators of any age are welcome to watch the clinic of ADD WADDELL; the cost is €50 per spectator and can be paid upon arrival to the secretary of the Ranch

CAMPER / RV HOOKUPS
We also have available a limited number of RV Hookups with electricity at a rate of €20 for the entire event.

There are also many places without electricity and are free to use for the entire event

HOSPITALITY
The competitors and their families or care takers can take advantage of Cowboys Guest Ranch special meal offer. This includes a lunch and dinner menu at a rate of €13 and includes a first dish (pasta), a second dish (meat and vegetables), dessert and drinks.

COMPETITOR ACCOMODATIONS
Cowboys Guest Ranch has available special rooms dedicated to the kids who attend without parents or a chaperon.The kids will be watched 24 hours by a qualified member of the staff and will stay with other kids of the same sex and age.

At the Ranch Hotel
the cost is €30 per night per person. (11 beds available - max 4 persons per room)
In the Ranch Bunkhouse
the cost is €10 per night per person. (16 beds available - max 7 persons per room)
Shuttle service to and from the airport or train station is extra.*
